Position Summary:
Mitsui Seiki USA, a leading provider of ultra-precision machine tool solutions, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, supporting payroll preparation, and assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and experience with accounting systems, preferably Sage300.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify vendor invoices and check requests
- Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Enter and upload invoices into Sage300 accounting system
- Set invoices up for scheduled payment and process check runs
- Track expenses and process employee expense reports
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are accurate and up to date
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies or issues
- Maintain and update vendor files and payment records
- Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries and payment questions
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Prepare and process biweekly payroll
- Provide supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or bookkeeping
- Familiarity with Sage300 or similar accounting software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
